  • Description is exactly "Bob Gould was an engineer at SLAC, who became affiliated with the laboratory during its inception as Project M. A gifted artist, Gould created satirical cartoons which portrayed the development and construction of the laboratory as if it were a medieval kingdom. In Gould's imagination SLAC was peopled with wizards and vassals who with magic and the tools available in the dark ages created SLAC. There are nine original drawings in the collection. All have been photographed and the negatives are available in SLAC publications for purposes of reproduction. See SLAC Beam-Line, July-August, 1978 article, A Gould's-Eye View of SLAC, for reproductions and captions of these cartoons and others."
